Marshfield junior Jazmin Chavez was third Saturday at the OSAA 4A State Cross Country Championships ran at Lane Community College in Eugene. Solace Bergeron of Tillamook (18:44) was the winner, followed by Linnaea Kavulich of Scappoose (19:04). Chavez was timed in 19:30. Pirate sophomore Kaylee Delzotti placed ninth (19:47) and earned a place on the awards podium with Chavez. North Bend’s Makenna Roberts was 67th overall (22:27). Crook Co. (80) won the 4A boys title, with Stayton second (96), Newport third (119) and Tillamook fourth (121). Marshfield was ninth (232), while Far West League champion Siuslaw came in seventh (178). Aaron Prince was the top placer for the Pirate boys (31), followed by Kyran Erwin (43), Gabe Delgado (51), Chandler Pruett (53), Isaac Hasel (54), Jeremy Roe (74) & Jonathon Sampier (85).
