Infielder KJ Harrison and pitcher Drew Rasmussen have made it a clean sweep. The two were honored by D1Baseball.com as Freshman All-Americans on Monday morning. Both have now been named to four Freshman All-America teams, with Collegiate Baseball/Louisville Slugger, Baseball America and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) announcing prior to the D1 honor. Harrison was named the Pac-12’s Freshman of the Year and a First-Team All-League honoree two weeks ago. He ended the season with a .309 average, 12 doubles, three triples, 10 home runs and a league-leading 60 runs batted in. He joined Michael Conforto (2012) and Dylan Davis (2013, 2014) as Beavers to lead the league in RBI over the past four seasons. Rasmussen, meanwhile, was named an all-league first team selection. The Spokane, Wash., native went 7-4 this past season with a 2.80 earned run average. He struck out 82 and held opponents to a .223 average in 106 innings. He, of course, made his way into the record books by throwing a perfect game in March against Washington State. It was the first in Pac-12 Conference play in four decades.
