The City of Coos Bay authorized Mortenson Construction to install a sanitary sewer mainline on S. Empire Blvd between Pacific Avenue and Fulton Avenue. The crew will commence with construction beginning Wednesday, October 19. The project duration is approximately two days. For safety reasons, officials say the work will require closing S. Empire Blvd between Pacific Avenue and Fulton Avenue. Traffic will be detoured onto S. Marple during construction, with business access on S. Empire Blvd open at the north end of the detour.
