The annual Prefontaine Run will take over Coos Bay’s downtown streets and Ocean Blvd. Saturday morning, Sept. 17. The race starts at 9:45 a.m. at Fourth St. & Anderson Ave. It will proceed west on Central Ave. to Ocean Blvd. Just past La Clair, the runners will turn and return on Ocean Blvd. to 10th St. and then over to Marshfield High School where they will finish on the track. There is a high school 5K and an open 10K. A youth run takes place on Sunday, 1:30 p.m. It will begin on Second St. near the Coos Art Museum.
