Marshfield’s boys beat visiting Siuslaw 61-24 in a District 4 prep basketball game at Coos Bay Tuesday. The Pirates (5-2, 7-3) are tied with Marist Catholic (5-2, 7-2) for second place behind league leader Junction City (6-1, 10-1). The Spartans handed the Tigers their first loss of the season Tuesday at JC 57-46. Cottage Grove (2-5, 2-7) won at last place Elmira 57-42. North Bend’s boys beat visiting Roseburg 41-40 Tuesday. The Bulldogs (3-6) are scheduled to host Tillamook Saturday.
