Marshfield’s girls moved into a tie for second place in the District 4 basketball race with a 46-25 win over visiting Siuslaw Tuesday at the Pirate Palace Coos Bay. The Lady Pirates (3-2, 4-4) are scheduled to play the team they are tied with Thursday at Marist Catholic (4-2, 4-2) in Eugene. Cottage Grove (5-1, 6-3) leads the league, but the Lions are forfeiting games due to COVID-19. North Bend’s girls won at Roseburg Tuesday 42-26. The Bulldogs (7-3) are scheduled to end the regular season Saturday at Elmira.
