North Bend lost its first prep football game of the 2019 season Friday night at home to visiting Crater 66-28. The Bulldogs (3-1) host defending 5A state champion Thurston Friday at Vic Adams Field. Marshfield opened 4A District 4 play with a 78-29 win at Cottage Grove. The Pirates (1-0, 2-2) host Ontario Saturday, 6 p.m. at Pete Susick Stadium in Coos Bay.
