Marshfield’s boys were seventh and North Bend’s ninth at the Country Fair Classic cross country meet at Richardson Park near Elmira Wednesday. Sheldon won the varsity boy’s race with 40 points, Bandon was fourth with 215, Marshfield tallied 270, and North Bend 277. Individually, North Bend freshman Alexander Garcia-Silver placed 8th on the 5K course in 16:17.8. Marshfield senior Aaron Prince led the Pirates with a tenth place finish in 16:30.7. Vincent Mestler, Sheldon, won in 15:35.5. South Eugene (30) won the girl’s race. Bandon took fourth (178), North Bend sixth (202) and Marshfield eighth (232). Individually, senior Kaylee Delzotti led Marshfield by finishing in 18th (20:19.4), while junior Celeste Sinko led North Bend in 22nd (20:35.2. Madison Elmare of South Eugene won the 5K race in 17:56.1.
