According to the Coos Co. Elections Department, “The Primary Election in Coos County will be held on May 20, 2014. Coos County ballots will be mailed to all active, registered voters on May 2, 2014. Voters should receive their ballots between May 3rd – May 9th. Military, overseas and out of state ballots are mailed earlier. If voters in Coos County have not received their ballot in the mail by Friday, May 9th, they should contact the Coos County Election’s office. The last day for new registrations in Oregon and/or to change political party affiliation for this election is April 29th, 2014.” The Primary Election Ballot will include races for: US Senate (Jeff Merkley’s seat); US Congress (Peter DeFazio’s seat); Governor; State Representative; and, Positions 2 & 3 on the Coos Co. Board of Commissioners.
