A Florence couple who pled guilty to dozens of child rape and sexual abuse allegations were sentenced Tuesday, June 6, to more than 40 years in prison each by a Lane Co. judge. Forty-five year old Doreen Cater and 44-year old Greg Cater each pled guilty to nearly 100 charges against them spanning the years 2011 to 2015. The two lived in La Pine before moving to the Coast in 2014. They were arrested in December of 2015 after one of the victim’s mothers discovered photos involving the male suspect and two children.
