Lincoln County, in partnership with the State Marine Board, will be hosting a public meeting on January 5, 2017, from 4 to 6 pm at the Waldport City Hall’s Council Chambers, 125 NW Alsea Hwy. The purpose of this meeting is to share concepts and gather feedback from recreational boaters to assist in the development of a recreational boating facility at Don Lindly Park. Don Lindly Park is located on the Alsea River off Hwy 34 at milepost 7, before the bridge crosses the Alsea River and across from Canal Creek Road. In late 2014, a variety of partners worked together to purchase the property to for the future development of a public boat ramp, docks, parking and sanitation.
