A 3.0-magnitude earthquake was recorded at the Southern Junction where two fault lines begin that run parallel with the Oregon Coast early Sunday morning, June 17.  According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake occurred was located west of Petrolia, CA near Cape Mendocino.
