The outer fault line off of Coos County continues to rumble.  Following four significant earthquakes earlier in the week within the Cascadia Subduction Zone, a 3.9-magnitude quake was recorded west to northwest of Bandon Friday, Aug. 24.  Two more quakes hit the area Saturday and Sunday.  On Saturday, a 3.0-magnitude quake was recorded, followed by a 3.1 Sunday morning.  Both were on the outer fault line west of Port Orford & Bandon.  A 3.4-magnitude quake was also recorded later Sunday, west of Petrolia, CA where the two fault lines begin at Cape Mendocino in Northern California and then run parallel with the Oregon Coast.
