Three earthquakes were recorded at the southern end of the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast early Monday morning, August. 3. According to the U. S. Geological Survey, two of the quakes were located west of Petrolia, CA, 2.7 & 2/5-magnitudes, and the other was on the outer fault line, 3/3-magnitude, west of Ferndale, CA. All were near Cape Mendocino in Northern California.
