A couple of earthquakes were recorded near Cape Mendocino in Northern California Friday and Saturday. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the largest, a magnitude 3.4 occurred at 4:51 a.m., Saturday morning and was located 21-miles south to southwest of Eureka, CA where two fault lines begin that run north parallel with the Oregon Coast. The other quake occurred on Friday. It was a 2.8-magnitude quake and was recorded at 4:38 p.m., 94-miles west to Northwest of the Humboldt Co. Seat.
