A magnitude 4.1 earthquake shook an area near Cape Mendocino in Northern California Saturday, Nov. 5, where two fault lines begin that run parallel with the Oregon Coast.  According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake was recorded at 6 p.m. and was located west to southwest of Laytonville, CA. On Sunday, Nov. 6, a 2.9-magnitude quake occurred in the same area, as well as a 4.1, and 3.2.
