News release Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. On 8-14-16 at about 2211 hours the Coos County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Dunes Mobile Ranch RV Park, 67624 Spinreel RD, North Bend OR for a reported disturbance. Deputies were advised that 33 year old Charles Loreman had attempted to assault 34 year old Beau Stemen and then drove off striking Stemen’s vehicle. Upon arrival deputies learned an altercation occurred between the two resulting in Stemen defending himself with cap stun OC spray. The recipient of the OC, Loreman attempted to strike Stemen and his teenaged child with his vehicle when attempting to leave the scene. Loreman did strike Stemen’s vehicle causing extensive damage. A deputy searched the area but was unable to initially locate Loreman. A short time later the subject returned to his residence in the park and was eventually arrested. Mr. Loreman was charged with Unlawful Use of Weapon, Reckless endangering (2 cts) and Failure to perform duties of a driver. Mr. Loreman was transported him to the Coos County Jail and booked.
