Robbery/Burglary Charleston, May 24

News release CCSO.  On 05-18-17 at approximately 0357 hours, Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence on Southwest 10th Street in Charleston, Oregon for a report of a home invasion robbery that had occurred.  When Deputies arrived they contacted the victim, Warren Staves, 46 YOA, of Charleston.  Mr. Staves reported that 2 male subjects forced their way into his home while he was sleeping, tied him up and held him at gun point.  He was tied up for almost 2 hours before being able to get himself free and call police. Mr. Staves told the deputies that after the 2 suspects went through his belongings in his home, looking for high value items, they then fled the scene.   Mr. Staves reported that he was not injured during the robbery.   Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies are actively investigating this case and do believe that they will be able to identify and arrest the individuals involved in the very near future.
