A U.S. Coast Guard helicopter from Air Station North Bend joined the search for an overdue father and son from the Bay Area who went hunting last week near Agness in Curry County. Trevor and Shawn Higgins were last heard from on Friday, Oct. 14. Search and rescue teams from Curry, Josephine and Jackson counties have been assisting. The two’s truck and a four-wheel drive ATV were located, but no sign of the men in the road-less wilderness area.
