Shutters Ck., April 24

It reportedly started with the transfer of an inmate from Lane County to the Shutter’s Ck. Minimum Security Correctional Facility north of North Bend. That inmate tested positive for the COVID-19 virus on April 9. What has followed has been a spread of the deadly virus in the now quarantined facility. According to State Dept. of Corrections officials, eight cases of COVID-19 have now been confirmed at Shutter’s Creek. They are the only cases reported in Coos County.
