Southwestern Oregon Community College is offering a free workshop series called “Make Parenting a Pleasure” at Madison School (400 Madison St., Coos Bay) on Tuesday evenings this winter. This is part of our “Everyday Parenting Workshop” series! All classes are brought to you FREE of charge and are open to everyone. A FREE family dinner begins each evening at 5:30! After dinner, children ages 6 weeks to 10 years can attend a FREE children’s program. The workshops will begin on January 20th and run through March 10th, with a free dinner each week at 5:30 p.m. and the workshops from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. To register please call 541-888-1588. The workshops are co-sponsored by Southwestern Oregon Community College, the Oregon Parenting Education Collaborative and Pathways to Positive Parenting. Free Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) are available for professional development. Certificates will be issued which identify completed training hours for Child Care Division (CCD) certified & registered child care providers, foster parents, and other participants.
