Coos Bay, OR – To protect the health and safety of our community and students, while continuing to support their success, Southwestern Oregon Community College will provide services by virtual means beginning Friday, March 20, through Sunday, April 5, 2020. During this time campus buildings will be closed to the public and visitors. Only essential staff will be allowed access. On April 6, the library will be open only to students who need access to computers for wi-fi access or remote learning. Tutoring Center – Closed. During this closure, both campuses and all buildings will be deep-cleaned. Spring term credit classes begin on Monday, April 6, 2020.  Please plan to continue your education. All Southwestern classes will be online for spring term. The college is delaying the start of spring term by one week to allow faculty time to prepare courses. Southwestern also will waive the $37 online course fee. College staff is working remotely by phone and email to assist our students and community members. It will not be open to the general public. The college will follow social distancing and other state and federal requirements. Community Education classes will not be held during the month of April.
