The City of Coos Bay authorized Benny Hempstead Excavating, Inc. to perform a sanitary sewer line replacement project on S 10th Street. For safety reasons, this work will require closing S 10th Street between Anderson Avenue and Elrod Avenue. Traffic will be detoured around this work zone from 7:00am until 6:00pm August 15th thru August 17th. See below for the detour route. There will be no on street parking in this portion of S 10th Street while the project is underway. Blossom Gulch School and residents who live in the area will be allowed to enter and exit the area with direction from the Contractor, however they will experience delays. Drivers and pedestrians are advised to please exercise caution within the construction zone and detour area.
