Southwestern Oregon’s basketball teams split a pair of NWAC games at Mt. Hood CC in Gresham Saturday. The women won the opener 62-53, but the Laker men fell in the nightcap 92-79. SWOCC hosts Umpqua CC on Wednesday, Feb. 1. The women (4-3, 4th place South Region, 10-9 overall) play at 5:30 p.m., followed by the men’s (4-3, 3rd place South Region, 13-7 overall) game at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday, Southwestern travels to the Rose City to play Portland CC, 2 & 4 p.m.
