Southwestern Oregon’s softball team split an NWAC doubleheader against Southern Conference leader Mt. Hood Saturday at Coos Bay. The third-place Lakers (13-5, 23-8) took the first game 1-0, but Mt. Hood (17-3, 30-3) grabbed the second 5-3. SWOCC next hosts tied for fourth Chemeketa (8-10, 11-17) on Tuesday, April 16, 2 & 4 p.m. Southwestern’s baseball team split a doubleheader at Salem against Chemeketa on Saturday. The Lakers won the opener 6-2, but the Storm won the second game 6-5. Fourth place SWOCC (14-10, 19-17) plays at third-place Lane (12-8, 17-12) on Thursday, April 18, 1 & 4 p.m.
