Southwestern Oregon’s volleyball team split two matches on Friday at Treasure Valley CC in Ontario, OR. The Lakers lost 3-1 to Edmonds, but bounced back and downed Big Bend 3-0. On Saturday, and then on Saturday, SWOCC beat Whatcom 2-0, lost to Edmonds 2-0, downed Treasure Valley 2-0, and lost to Skagit Valley 2-1. Southwestern (9-8) next hosts Treasure Valley, noon, on Tuesday, Sept. 13. In soccer, the Laker men lost at Lane CC in Eugene Saturday 4-0. The women’s team fell 8-0. On Wednesday, the women (0-1-0, 1-4-0) host Chemeketa CC at 2 p.m., and the men (0-1-0, 0-4-1) host the Storm at 4:15 p.m.
