Oregon’s magical postseason run ended Saturday in the Final Four, as North Carolina used a late first-half run to grab momentum and then held off a late rally by the Ducks to win, 77-76, before 77,612 in University of Phoenix Stadium. North Carolina (32-7) missed four free-throw attempts in the final six seconds but rebounded the second miss both times — two of 17 offensive rebounds by the Tar Heels in the game. UNC finished with 19 second-chance points, and scored 20 points of 16 turnovers, the most by the Ducks in six weeks. The Ducks (33-6) saw their season end a game short of the national championship game, after setting a school record for wins, sharing the Pac-12’s regular-season title and reaching the Final Four for the second time in school history.

Oregon’s baseball team dropped two-out-of-three Pac-12 games at Utah in Salt Lake City this past weekend. Oregon won the opener Friday 11-1, but lost on Saturday 11-5 and Sunday 13-1. The Ducks (5-4, 17-8) play at Brigham Young today, 1 p.m., before hosting UC Irvine Friday through Sunday in Eugene. Oregon State swept Stanford. The Beavers won Friday 3-1, Saturday 15-7 and Sunday 7-0. The Beavers (9-0, 24-1) plays at Portland Tuesday, 6 p.m., and then hosts Utah Friday through Sunday in Corvallis.

Oregon’s softball team swept visiting Arizona State in a Pac-12 series at Eugene this past weekend. The Ducks won Friday 4-0, Saturday 9-4 and Sunday 1-0. The Ducks (8-0, 33-0) host Portland State in a doubleheader Tuesday, 5 & 7 p.m., and then play at UCLA Friday through Sunday in Los Angeles. Oregon State’s softball team lost two games to Brigham Young, Friday 4-2 and Saturday 2-1, before sweeping visiting UNLV Saturday 2-1 and Sunday 9-0. This weekend the Beavers (1-5, 18-15) play at Washington in Seattle, WA.
