Oregon’s football team improved to 2-0 with a 44-26 win over visiting Virginia Saturday in Autzen Stadium at Eugene. The Ducks play at Nebraska Saturday, Sept. 17, 12:30 p.m. on ABC TV. Oregon’s volleyball team won all three of its matches by perfect 3-0 scores at its own Nike Invitational inside Matthew Knight Arena this past weekend. The Ducks downed #21 Illinois Friday, then Belmont on Saturday and St. Mary’s on Sunday. Oregon (7-2) opens Pac-12 play at home against Oregon State on Sept. 22. The women’s soccer team got a split in Fullerton, CA, the Ducks lost 3-2 to UC Irvine Friday, but beat Cal State Fullerton 1-0 on Sunday. Oregon (6-1-1) next hosts Portland on Sept. 19.

OSU sports
Oregon State went 1-2 at the Pacific Community Classic volleyball tournament at Stockton, CA this past weekend. The Beavers lost 3-1 to South Dakota on Friday, beat Northern Colorado 3-0 on Saturday, and then lost 3-2 to the University of Pacific on Saturday night. The Beavers (4-4) next play Tennessee Tech in the Idaho Volleyball Classic at Moscow, ID, Sept. 15. The women’s soccer team got a split back in Michigan. The Beavers beat Michigan State 2-1 in OT Friday, but fell 3-1 to Eastern Michigan on Sunday. OSU (3-2-2) hosts Portland on Friday, Sept. 16. The men’s soccer team dropped two matches in Akron, Ohio. The Beavers lost to Akron on Friday, and then fell 3-0 to Butler on Sunday. Oregon State (3-2-1) plays at UNLV on Sept. 17.
