News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. On 04-16-15, at about 10:18 PM, Coos County Deputies performed a routine traffic stop on a vehicle in Charleston area, and during the contact discovered the vehicle to be stolen. The vehicle had been reported stolen out of Eugene on the morning of 04-1615, at 1000, a.m. The vehicle was a 1989 silver Honda Accord. After speaking to the lawful owners of the vehicle, Deputies determined that operator of the vehicle; 29 year old Lacey J. Potts of Coos Bay was unlawfully in possession of the stolen vehicle. Ms. Potts was arrested and transported to the Coos County jail at 11:00 p.m. Ms Potts was charged with Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, Providing False Information to a Police Officer and Driving While Suspended.
