The Coos Bay School Board has extended the deadline for applicants interested in filling the vacancy on the Board to July 22, 2016. The Board will meet on Friday, July 30, at 5:30 PM, to appoint a new member to fill the vacancy. Due to Board member schedules, the full Board is unable to meet earlier in July. Interested community members are encouraged to apply. To be eligible, an applicant must be a registered voter who has resided in the Coos Bay School District for at least one year. The application form is available on the District’s website: www.cbd9.net Although not a requirement, the Board hopes that the successful applicant would also be able to attend the Board’s August work-session on Saturday, August 13.
