ROSEBURG, Ore. – A Roseburg woman died after she was struck by a vehicle in Winchester on Thursday. On Thursday, December 7, 2023, shortly before 4:30 a.m., 9-1-1 dispatchers received a report of a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash on NE Stephens Street near Strauss Avenue. Deputies arrived on scene to discover a female lying in the roadway who had suffered fatal injuries. The female was identified as 39-year-old Cody Ann Jackson of Roseburg. Deputies learned that Jackson had been walking in the northbound lane when she was struck by a northbound 2007 Honda Pilot operated by 44-year-old Adam Mohlsick of Roseburg. Mohlsick was cooperative with deputies throughout the investigation. The incident remains under investigation and criminal charges are not expected. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Douglas County Fire District #2 and the Douglas County Medical Examiner’s Office.
