On July 10, 2017, at 9:33PM, the Linn County Sheriff’s office received a call of the missing 6 year old male from his Albany residence. They dispatched 4 deputies to the residence and surrounding area and at 9:38PM, had a canine unit en-route to assist with the search. On July 10, 2017 at approximately 9:40PM, the Oregon State Police assisted the Linn County Sheriff’s office in attempting to locate a 6-year-old juvenile male that was reported missing. At approximately 9:55PM, the Oregon State Police was dispatched to a motor vehicle/pedestrian crash on Interstate 5 near milepost 230, 3 miles south of Albany in Linn County. The preliminary investigation determined that at least one commercial motor vehicle struck the pedestrian, and 2 other vehicles may have been involved. The pedestrian was the 6-year-old missing juvenile. There is no indication of any wrongdoing, and the vehicle operators are cooperating with the investigation. At this time, no names will be released, and there are currently no photos available. We will not be releasing the juvenile’s name.
