Number one pick and a Nike shoe deal. Not a bad day for former University of Oregon basketball player Sabrina Ionescu. The former Duck was the top pick Friday in the WNBA Draft by the New York Liberty. Following her selection, Ionescu confirmed she had inked a deal earlier in the day with Nike the Beaverton shoe manufacturer. Oregon’s Satou Sabally went No. 2 in the Draft to the Dallas Wings, and a third Duck Ruthy Hebard went as No. 8 to the Chicago Sky. Oregon State’s Mikayla Pivec was selected in the Third Round, No. 25 overall, by the Atlanta Dream.
