The Zonta Club of the Coos Bay Area is awarding grant funding through its Coos Bay Area Service Foundation to support non-profit organizations in our area. Zonta supports groups and projects that work for and encourage the purpose of our Service Foundation, which is to improve the legal, economic, educational, health and professional status of women and children. Zonta intends to award up to $22,500 in grants in two focus areas in 2017: 1) Projects that work towards improving the lives of women and children through education. 2) Projects that work towards improving the status of women (defined at ages 16 and above) through health or advocacy. To apply for a grant, go to web site: zontacoosbay.org and print off the application. The application deadline is SEPTEMBER 15TH. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
