Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are continuing the investigation into Monday morning’s fatal traffic crash that occurred in Polk County. On May 11th around 8:30AM, a passerby came across a single vehicle crash in the 3000 block of Lone Star Road NW. Upon arriving, emergency crews discovered the driver, identified as SHARRY A RAE, 52, of Salem, deceased inside the vehicle. Preliminary information from investigators indicates that vehicle, a 1998 Toyota Avalon, was traveling eastbound on Lone Star Rd, when for unknown reasons the vehicle began to leave the roadway. It appears RAE overcorrected, causing the vehicle to cross the roadway where it rolled onto it’s roof.
