The Oregon State women’s soccer team out-shot Kansas State 21-7 Friday evening, but was held to a 0-0 draw in its season-opener at Lorenz Field. Senior goalkeeper Bella Geist held the clean sheet, as the Oregon State back line held firm for the entire match. The Beavers created the first scoring chances of the game in the match’s opening minutes, as seniors Nikki Faris and Emma Jones both had shots blocked at the top of the box. Oregon State continued to control the match through the first half hour, out-shooting Kansas State 5-0 in the opening 30 minutes.

Seniors Natalie Higgins and Emma Jones both found the net as the Oregon State women’s soccer team earned a 2-1 road victory over Seattle U Sunday evening. The Beavers came back from a first-half deficit to net the win. Higgins leveled the score in the 27th minute, less than 60 seconds after the Redhawks had taken the early lead. Jones tacked on the game-winner in the 74th, curling in a free kick from 23 yards out. The Beavers return home next weekend for matchups with Missouri and Kansas.
