The COVID-19 pandemic continues to claim South Coast Festivals. The annual Blackberry Festival held in August in Downtown Coos Bay is the latest victim. Officials announced the event has been cancelled for this year. The Blackberry Festival has basically been a super-charged Farmer’s Market taking over Central Ave. during the warm summer month. The Coos Bay Downtown Association continues; however, to run its Wednesday’s Farmer’s Market at the same location.
