Deputies have arrested 34 year old Adam Childers and 24 year old Brittany Roady, both of Drain, for Burglary and other related charges. The investigation began on November 29, 2016, when a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 500-block of Westlog Street in Yoncalla. The vehicle was being driven by Childers. Roady was a passenger in the vehicle. During the traffic stop, the deputy noticed a large amount of property in the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, methamphetamine was located. The vehicle was towed for no insurance. The deputy later learned of a residential burglary which had occurred in the 100-block of Deer Hollow Lane in Oakland. The deputy determined the property which had been described as stolen was the property located in the vehicle that Childers had been driving. Deputies continued their investigation and eventually arrested both Adam Childers and Roady for the burglary. Both were transported to the Douglas County Jail where they were lodged. Childers was charged with Burglary 1st Degree, Burglary 2nd Degree and Theft 2nd Degree. Roady was charged with Burglary 1st Degree, Burglary 2nd Degree, Theft 2nd Degree and Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Childers was additionally arrested related to a burglary of the Assembly of God Church in Drain from October 2016. He was charged with Burglary 2nd Degree, Theft 1st Degree, and Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree related to that incident. Devon Sisk was previously arrested related to that incident as well.
