Burglary Charge
News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. On 05-28-2014 at about 1156 hours, the Coos County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of the South Coast Interagency Narcotics Team, executed a Search Warrant at a residence on Anchor Lane, south east of Coos Bay. The search warrant was conducted as a result of several ongoing burglary investigations that had occurred in the county. Contacted at the residence was Camden L. McSorley, age 28 of Coos Bay and Melissa J. Neal, age 29, also of Coos Bay. During the search of the residence, deputies recovered several thousands of dollars’ worth of stolen property, a firearm and ammunition. At this point property in at least two recent burglaries that occurred in the county has been identified, the investigation is continuing in attempting to identify and return property to other victims. As a result of the investigation and search warrant, Camden McSorley was arrested for Burglary 1, Theft 1 and Felon in Possession of a Firearm. The involvement of Ms. Neal has been referred to the District Attorney’s Office. Camden McSorley was transported and lodged on $150,000.00 bail at the Coos County Jail.
