Quakes
Both ends of the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast shook Saturday, Jan. 3rd. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 4.2-magnitude quake shook the north end at 4:59 p.m., 124-miles west of Port Hardy, Canada. At the southern end, near Cape Mendocino, CA, a 3.3-magnitude quake occurred at 6:44 a.m. and was located eight-miles north of Laytonville, CA. Seismic activity is still occurring near Lakeview in south central Oregon.
Quake
A 5.1-magnitude earthquake was recorded near Cape Mendocino in Northern California where two fault lines begin that run parallel with the Oregon Coast. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake occurred at 4:16 a.m., Thursday morning, Jan. 1, and was located 78-miles west to southwest of Eureka, CA.
Quake
A 5.2-magnitude earthquake shook the northern end of two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast Friday, Jan. 2. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake occurred at 1:15 a.m. and was located 121-miles southwest of Bella Bella, Canada.
